The Importance of Resident Council

The primary goal of Resident Council is to allow residents to exercise self determination and encourage them to become more involved in providing input regarding their daily life. Yesterday’s meeting, President Warren called the meeting to order with twelve residents in attendance and most of them shared their thoughts, ideas and suggestions for Fremont Hills. There was interest in starting a Bridge or Pinochle Club. Our Community Life Director, Izzy and her team thought it was a great idea and will be creating a flyer to see who else is interested. It was nice to get feedback on the entertainers we hire for Thirsty Thursdays, and how much they enjoy Aloha Fridays, (island treats, games and socializing) and Sundae Mondays (ice cream sundaes served every Monday afternoon). Our goal is listen to our resident’s needs, wants and desires and to do our best to fulfill their requests. We welcome family members to attend our next meeting on September 10th at 11:00am in the activity room.
